SAB introduceerde de Direct Drive op deze 420 klasse helicopter en verkocht hiervan meer dan 2500 kits.

Echter... In ons streven naar betere prestaties kwamen we tot de conclusie dat de Direct Drive niet langer de juiste oplossing kon zijn. De evolutie van de RAW 420 zal gebruik maken van een riemaandrijving.

Zo werd de RAW 420 Competition geboren. Lichter, sneller, flexibeler in de selectie van de gewenste head speed op een hoger prestatieniveau.
